About Tony Tambasco

Tony is a graduate student in The American Shakespeare Center and Mary Baldwin College's Master of Letters/Master of Fine arts program in Shakespeare and Renaissance Literature in Performance, where he concentrates on directing the works of Shakespeare and his contemporaries. Tony is thrilled to have the opportunity of building on top of a career as a stage director and designer with some of the greatest scholars and practitioners of Renaissance theatre. Presently, he is preparing a new critical edition of the early 17th century anonymous play The Merry Devil of Edmonton, which he hopes to mount at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival later this year.

This summer, in addition to working on his thesis, Tony will once again serve as The Weathervane Playhouse's resident sound designer, and will in addition be the assistant director for their production of The Producers. He hopes to see you there.

Tony would like to thank the many friends who have helped him through his travels. He's pretty sure he wouldn't have got very far without their support, faith, and the occasionally badly needed kick in the ass they've been there to provide.
